Egypt : Gov’t to replace paper banknotes with plastic

Instead of the paper currency, the Egyptian Central Bank will start printing plastic banknotes. From 2020 paper notes will be replaced by plastic notes. Even though there are only 44 countries using plastic notes, experts say plastic is a better option than paper. Compared to the paper notes, plastic notes are high in quality. The lifespan of the plastic note is high compared to the paper notes. Also to reduce the hygiene effect and negative impact of paper money on health. The plastic money can also be recycled.
