Ukraine -NBU decides to introduce coins with the nominal value of 1, 2, 5 and 10 hryvnias

The presentation of new circulating coins with the nominal value of 1, 2, 5 and 10 hryvnias will take place at the National Bank of Ukraine .

These coins will eventually replace the notes of the respective denominations that are currently in circulation.

Ukrainians will be able to pay at the same time both new coins and banknotes of the respective denominations until the coins naturally and gradually will not replace the banknotes in circulation.

It is to be reminded that the upgrade of the nominal number of the national currency is planned and started with a note of 100 hryvnias of the 2014 model, put into circulation on March 09, 2015.

Participation in the presentation will be taken by representatives of the Department of Money and Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine, as well as authors of sketches of new circulating coins.
